Self-liberation is the greatest victory
~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Welcome ~ I’m so glad you’re here
I’m Asher (they/them), and I offer online and in-person coaching sessions with individuals and relationships in a brief, ongoing or intensive format. A commitment towards individual and collective liberation is the foundation of all of my work.
I help people live their lives with greater clarity, integrity, authenticity, compassion and embodiment.

About me & how I work
I bring a spacious, accepting and empathetic stance to our work together, interested for us to know all the parts of you. Together, we will cultivate a space for deep exploration, introspection, and listening, where self-compassion can flourish, where humor and playfulness can exist alongside grief and pain, where authenticity and self-trust are nurtured, and where the clarity of your values and integrity can manifest in your life.
One of my strengths is an ability to see through to the heart of the matter. This gift of clarity helps me facilitate a space where we can tell the truth — first, and perhaps most importantly, for you to tell the truth to yourself about your own life.
I hold a Master’s degree in clinical social work from Smith College School for Social Work, and while I do not offer psychotherapy, my coaching practice is informed by my clinical training. I have trained in Internal Family Systems (Level 1), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Restorative Practices and incorporate these modalities into my practice.
My work, and my life, is rooted in deep relationship with the Earth. This world view is woven throughout all of our work together, and I am grateful to offer outdoor and nature-based sessions, relying on the wisdom and the cycles of nature to show us the way towards healing, wholeness and full expression.
I work from a radical social justice framework, and consider how our lives, our psyches, our relationships and communities are shaped by systemic oppression, racial capitalism and colonization, and how we can commit to broader movements towards material, social and spiritual liberation.
Some salient social identities I hold: white, settler, queer, genderqueer, mixed-class, formally-educated, middle-age, able-bodied, straight-sized, in recovery, survivor. I actively engage in the lifelong process of understanding myself, the world around me, and the contexts in which we live, and am committed to participating in movement towards individual and collective liberation.
Please feel free to inquire further about my experiences or else anything that may be important to you in our work together.
Who I tend to work with
Individuals
Life is… a lot, sometimes. We are living in wild times – being asked to let go of and grieve that which does not serve us individually and collectively, to let our hearts break wide open, and to make space for new ways of living, loving and practicing to emerge in our own lives and in our communities.
Who I work with:
Queer and Trans* adults, and those exploring gender and/or sexuality
Radical or progressive folks living in rural areas
Those leading an “unconventional” life – artists, travelers, anarchists, activists, seekers; those committed to living a life of heart & purpose regardless of what society dictates
Those seeking to bring their life into greater alignment with their integrity, values and authentic expressions
Those seeking a deeper relationship with the Self
Those seeking to better know and communicate their boundaries, needs and wants in relationship with others
Those navigating grief & loss
Those facing life transitions
Those integrating big experiences into their lives (e.g., psychedelic, travel, relational, spiritual experiences)
Relationships
Oftentimes, when conflict, tension or difficulty emerges in relationships, there is something that is asking to be transformed. Through self-reflection, self-trust, and telling the truth to ourselves and each other, we are able to meet these moments with compassion, courage and integrity, and truly open to the possibility of transformation. Change in relationship can be scary to face at times, and change carries within it the possibility for greater authenticity, sovereignty, learning, growth, and depth.
The opportunity to explore these edges of conflict and transformation is some of my favorite work that I get to do with people.
